Have you seen the new 'New iPad' commercial (say that 5 times fast).   Hit play above and you'll see what Apple thinks is the most important new feature of their new baby.  Yep...all Retina display baby.  Showing their new 2048 x 1536 display off with some crystal clear video, the ad makes its point.  Everything you use your iPad for will benefit from the super high resolution panel that features more pixels than an HD tv.  We've got to wonder however if the general tv viewer will be able to appreciate the sharpness since even the highest end HD tv has lower resolution than the iPad.  Personally, we're looking forward to watching UP on ours just to see the detail in all those balloons as they fly up into the sky.  We have a sneaking suspicion we'll be seeing more 'New iPad' commercials soon showing off some of the other tech highlights of the new tablet.
